My husband's #1

Although Joseph and I have shared many experiences together, yesterday was a first for our marriage. It was tough for me, but I pushed my fears aside and supported my husband as his first official dental patient. Now that they are almost done with their first year of dental school, they can finally clean people's teeth!

The two avid readers of my blog probably know from my previous post that I particularly loathe the dentist office. However, although I was stressed out leaving Jake with a friend for the whole afternoon knowing that he hadn't gotten a morning nap (I tried for two hours to get him to go to sleep), I was a little excited to see Joseph decked out in his scrubs and looking all professional. And believe me, he looked professional. In fact, it was so professional that he introduced me to his professor as "Angela, my patient" instead of "Angela, my wife". He looked at my chart and asked me such questions as, "Do you smoke tobacco? If so, how often?" and "When was your last visit to your doctor?" I don't think he necessarily appreciated that I was laughing through the whole thing. He did a fantastic job, though, and I was actually the first one done! He says it's because there wasn't a whole lot to clean on my teeth, but I think he's just a fabulous dentist. Too bad all this practice cleaning teeth will probably be for nothing since he's not going to be doing it in his practice anyway! But either way, the important thing is that my husband was hot in his scrubs and that I now have a gleaming smile. Thanks babe, I love you!

Hmm...This is a much different reaction to the dentist than normal...I think I may be making headway here.

I love that your husband looking hot in his scrubs was one of the important things...

I was JAred's first patient and he had to tape record the first part when he was asking questions and I was trying not to laugh through the whole thing too.

Not surprising Joseph finished cleaning first. Remember, I'm his big sister and was around to witness his so called "cleaning" skills. I hope it wasn't one of his notorious "half jobs," as our Mom use to say.

Nah, I'm sure he's grown out of that old habit....and that's probably a big thanks to you, Angela!
