This blog post is a continuation of our Thansgiving festivities. We had a couple big achievements over the break. First, Jake crawled up stairs! We don't have stairs in our little apartment, so Jake had never really had the opportunity to practice, but lo and behold, if Jake sees something that he wants he won't let a couple of stairs get in his way.

The second big achievement is that Joseph won his first game of "Risk." Apparently it was the first time that he had ever played, and he was was what he termed the "dark horse." And, yes, that is our laundry in the background. I obviously wasn't the one taking this picture because I would have shoved it out of the way before I had him pose. My brother took this picture, go figure.

The third achievement was that Jake and Isaac had a photo-op. You may not think of this as much of an achievement, but you weren't there, and believe me, it was. Actually, let me rephrase that. It was a big achievement that JAKE had a photo-op. Isaac is quite possibly the most perfect, mellow, cuddly baby in the entire world. Jake is quite possibly the most excitable baby in the entire world, but mellow he is not.

This picture was taken to show the size similarities between the two babies. Keep in mind that Jake is 8 1/2 months old. Isaac is 2 1/2 months old. Sorry about my foot in the picture, I did the best I could...

These two boys are essentially the same size. And let's remember that Jake was a big baby, weighing in at 9 lbs. when he was born. He hasn't shrunk. Isaac is a beast.

Jake and Isaac posed with Grandma and great-grandma (who celebrated her 80th birthday the day after Thanksgiving).

Thanks Grandma for these cute outfits for the boys!

We hope everyone had a great thanksgiving and we look forward to more fun this wonderful holiday season!!

That is the cutest little vest and outfit! I love the pic of the two boys together. Jade (11 months) is the same size as several 2 year olds in the ward. Funny how everyone grows. Glad you had a fun Thanksgiving.
They look so cute together. Congratulations Joseph on the win at Risk.
Sounds and looks like you all had a fantastic trip back home. Hope to see you in Texas soon!
I love that Jake is "stair savvy." I always made my babies practice on stairs so they knew what they were and how to maneuver on them as opposed to coming across them cold turkey and rolling their way down them.
That looked like a fun Thanksgiving. Those are some cute pictures, I love the boy's outfit, they are big boys really.
That's my favorite Jake pic, the one where he's really happy!
Yay! I am so glad you found us! We have missed the dockers ;) What a great name for your little guy. It's so great to keep in touch with blogs. Too bad we never got to play risk together. Maybe we'll pop in for a visit on our trek to WI, whenever that may be :)
It really was so great to hear from you. What a cute baby you guys made. We were just talking the other day about you and the time we had dinner at your apartment. The boys were recalling everything from how the missionaries came over and Zack knew it was them but they were unexpected, to how we were the first to get the baby new cause our Jake said you had a baby in your tummy. Great times :) Sadly Ellie does not remember her boyfriend Joseph, just as well, maybe she'll marry Jake. Older women are great!
I love our boys!!!!
